About me
I'm a writer, editor, and literary consultant. I hold a PhD from Princeton University in Latin American literature and am the author of Hay palabras vulva (2023). I was a founding editor of Revista Desliz, an independent Cuban literary journal.
I do editorial consulting in bilingual and Latin American work, helping writers and scholars develop manuscripts in Spanish and English. That means a manuscript audit that takes your work seriously on its own terms. A strategy session focused on what your project needs, not on what mainstream publishing wants from it.
I work with poets developing full collections, writers whose work moves between languages and genres, and scholars at any stage of a book-length project, from shaping the argument to completing the manuscript.
The Ethical Press is my literary imprint, a direct-to-reader press for work that circulates outside standard channels.

My Methods
Build the work. Share the tools. Change the structure.
The Ethical Press is grounded in a simple method: teach the skills, circulate the knowledge, keep creators closer to their work, and build structures that outlast the event. The goal is not only to make books, but to make more durable conditions for cultural work.
