A manuscript audit is a thorough editorial read of your work followed by a detailed written assessment and a one-hour conversation. I look at what your project is doing: — its structure, voice, argument, internal logic — and give you a clear account of where it stands and what it needs.

This is not market advice. It is a serious reading of the work on its own terms.

Poetry collection — $550

Chapbook (up to 40 pages): $300

For full collections up to 80 pages. I read for sequence, voice, tonal arc, and formal consistency. You receive a 5–8 page written letter and a 60-minute Zoom conversation. Turnaround: 4–6 weeks.

Literary fiction or memoir — $1,800

Up to 80,000 words.

I read for structure, narrative logic, voice, and internal consistency. You receive an 8–12 page written letter and a 60-minute Zoom conversation. Turnaround: 6 weeks.

Scholarly manuscript or proposal — $2,200

Proposal only: $950

For book-length scholarly projects at any stage — from early argument through near-final manuscript. I read for argument, structure, scholarly voice, and the logic of the project as a whole. You receive a 10–15 page written letter and a 75-minute Zoom conversation. Turnaround: 6 weeks.

Work spanning both Spanish and English carries a 20% surcharge across all tiers.
